The first season of Made in Abyss was great. It has a great world and we got to see the many levels of the Abyss. The kids agonize over things , but it's mild and isn't so in your face as it is now. Ever since the film, the hardship the kids go through kept escalating to the point where it's become hilarious and I can't take this show seriously anymore. It keeps playing the same cards over and over. Everytime it's just them showing kid get tortured mentally/physical, and that's your cue to start getting emotional and feel bad for the kids. It's turned into sufferporn. Every episode is just a new kid suffering and getting PTSD from getting rape and stuff.
