The statue of Hans Christian Anderson is another interesting place in Central Park. It shows the writer sitting on a bench and reading one of his best known books, The Ugly Duckling. On one side is an odd duck who is listening intently to the writer. It is located west of the Conservatory, at the top of 74th and 75th Streets.
